Building Corporate Learning Paths LMS Portals

Not all courses are meant to be offered as stand-alone entities. Some courses are meant to be bundled together and taken in a logical succession, thus creating a holistic and structured experience. This is where Learning Paths come in.

The use of Learning Paths allows learners to build their knowledge incrementally by creating a clear route through a training program. Learning Paths break course content down into manageable chunks, making it easier for learners to absorb information and progress smoothly through a learning or training objective.

The Benefits of Learning Paths for Corporate Training

In the corporate learning and training arena, Learning Paths provide significant benefit, especially as different roles and learning requirements are considered within your training audience.

Allow You to Add Structure to Your Training Program

Within corporate training, Learning Paths are used to add structure and logical progression. They offer program administrators the ability to control both the mix of courses included on any Path, as well as the order in which they are assigned. This approach ensures that the learner has acquired some base-level knowledge before they are assigned higher-end courses.

Save Administrative Time

From an administrative point of view, Learning Paths offer an opportunity to streamline your corporate training program. They allow you to implement structured, role-based training that is easily assigned, tracked, and managed after it has been built.

Establish and Support Learning and Training Goals

Finally, the use of Learning Paths allows administrators to create overall training goals based on learner roles, while allowing learners to focus on the achievement of these goal by completing these well-designed Paths.

LMS Portals for Corporate Learning Path Development

LMS Portals is a cloud-based, multi-tenant Learning Management System (LMS) that allows our clients and partners to launch and manage multiple, customized training environments (portals) to support any number of training audiences. Each portal you launch includes a Rapid Course Development engine that allows you to create stand-alone courses or combine multiple courses into a structured Learning Path.

When working in the course development engine, select Learning Path Only from the Course Visibility dropdown selection.

From the Learning Path Form, you can then choose the courses for a Learning Path and the order in which they will be assigned. You can choose to assign a Learning Path to an individual or a Group of learners.

Once assigned, your Learning Path is delivered to the Learner Dashboard.
